What we do...

Baby Moon supports families by caring for parents. We take on cleaning, cooking, and childcare while you rest. Postpartum doulas provide emotional and physical support, and information about breastfeeding and baby care.

Baby Moon serves families in Fernie and the surrounding area, including the communities ofElkford Sparwood, Hosmer, Elko, Jaffray and Cranbrook. Baby Moon offers support to parents when they need extra hands around the house, to catch up on rest, or simply some back up during busy times of transition.

We offer:

Postpartum doula care Doulas offer emotional support and evidence based information about breastfeeding, infant care, and the transition of the postpartum period. We can also help you meet your needs for sleep, nourishment, and a tidy home while you focus on your family.

Practical home care and light housework; such as laundry, dishes, food preparation and snacks, organizing children’s rooms, tidying, sweeping etc.

Parent care; 'mothering' the mother and/or father, assisting with infant or sibling care, planning, and errands.

Overnight care; supporting the night time routine with parents included. If baby is a night owl we can help with diapers, soothing, or facilitate feedings so parents can rest.

Support for parents with children of any age in their own home; essentially a “mom” service to help maintain routines and care for the home and family during times of transition; such as injury, a move, or a deadline.

Appropriate referrals to the best of our ability should your needs go beyond the scope of our practice or training.

Reliable support; should your doula be unavailable unexpectedly due to illness or emergency, a backup doula will be made available to you if you choose.

We do not offer:

Medical care of any kind, lactation consulting, or counseling/therapy.
Heavy house work; such as yard work, cleaning cupboards or windows, moving furniture, etc.
Chauffeuring services
Out of home meal preparation; any food prepared is all in the client’s kitchen.

All gift certificates include an initial consultation and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
